Eight years ago, I moved to Fort Sheridan, a restored US Army base originally built in the 1890s. Situated on 640 acres of prime Lake Michigan property, just east of Highwood, Fort Sheridan properties sit in both Highland Park and Highwood. Today, the historic town offers a range of unique living amenities for its residents. My personal favorites include walking paths to the beach – an escape in my own backyard!
The Fort Sheridan that I know today still reflects its history. Single-family homes in the area have been restored to meet the needs of growing families and larger military buildings from the active fort have been renovated into low-rise condominiums. When it was first redeveloped in 1999, I was attracted to the plans for urban style lofts, and city-like developments. Fort Sheridan also offers brownstones and a new, mid-rise condominium building. This little pocket on the North Shore offers something for everyone.
Since moving from Highland Park to Fort Sheridan, I am known as the go-to agent for Fort Sheridan property. I have represented many of the builders involved in housing projects here, and have sold a large percentage of the 551 residencies in the development. My expertise and personal living experience in Fort Sheridan help me to be a useful resource for my clients.
